The Pew Research Center for the People & the Press is an independent, non-partisan public opinion research organization that studies attitudes toward politics, the press and public policy issues. The Pew Research Center is "one of the least biased, most reliable polling organizations in the country" according to slate.com. The nationally representative survey of 6,878 U.S. adults was conducted online from Sept. 16-29, 2019, using Pew Research Center’s American Trends Panel. The Pew Research Center’s Forum on Religion & Public Life seeks to promote a deeper understanding of issues at the intersection of religion and public affairs. So when a Pew survey asks a question in a biased manner, it matters.
