In light of the current understanding of the central role of peroxisomes in a variety of metabolic diseases, cancer and aging – this timely research programme will benefit society. This book provides readers with a comprehensive overview of peroxisomes and their role in human diseases. We and others have reported that peroxisomes play important roles in regulating adipogenesis and adipocyte FA metabolism.
